PRAYER TO KNOW AND LIVE AS A VALUED PERSON

God is committed to walking with us while we learn how to live well in relationship with Him and with others. Life will become satisfying as we learn to relax in the acceptance of God’s unfailing love for us.
We offer these prayers as a starting place in asking God to heal and restore us so we can experience joy and enter into the life of security and peace God has planned for us.
Heavenly Father, I want to learn how to live today as the person you have created me to be - a person of dignity and ability, with a purpose for every day. Forgive me for listening to my past and my failures and letting them define my future. I affirm today that I am who You say I am - Your masterpiece, created in Jesus to do good work that You have prepared for me to do. I'm grateful to know that I am created in Your image with Your affirmation over my life that I am the very best of Your creation. As the Bible tells me, I am wonderfully made and I want to live in that today.
You and I both know that I've blown it many times and have made a mess of the life You have given me. I turn away from my self-centered ways that have brought me pain and failure and in many cases, caused hurt and disappointment in those I love. I accept the forgiveness Jesus won for me on the cross and receive the healing He promises as I trust in His love. I want to go forward with my hand in Your's and discover all that You have in mind for my life.
Today You are able to use everything that has taken place in my life to teach me wisdom and fill my heart with compassion. I can't know my value on my own, but living in Your care, I can become more than I ever dreamed possible. So, I put all of my will and my life into Your care and trust You to work miracles in me and through me.
I am awed by Your knowledge of me, and the purpose You have for my life. May I always be reminded that I am a cherished and valued child of God. Amen
