God is with us, in love and power, to give us everything we need to face today's challenges. Let's come to Him in faith today with open hearts as we pray:
Loving God, You have given us new life through Jesus and that new life includes the strength we need to face today's challenges. Along with so many others before us we declare in faith, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
We face tremendous challenges all around us in our families and our community but You are with us and You have already demonstrated that Your power is more than enough to conquer every evil and power that comes against us. The resurrection of Jesus Christ reminds us of that every moment of every day. You have all the power we need and more.
At the same time, we don't see resolution to the challenges in an instant and that gives us pause to wonder why. We don't want to put the blame anywhere but where it belongs and that is on the enemy who is out to "steal, kill, and destroy." In the middle of all that we do not understand we will stand with You and with all the things that are certain today: You are God. You are in control. You love us. You are making a way for us through these days and these challenges. With you we will always have the victory.
We surrender our own will, our own understanding (and lack) to You and put our trust fully on Your presence in our lives, working on our behalf - working for good in all things.
Help us to be people of faith, of kindness, of hope, of help in these days where many panic and live in fear. Give us grace to reach out and help others as is appropriate and at all times to pray, knowing that You hear and answer our prayers.
We surrender our will and our lives into Your care once again today. Amen
