Prayer For Everything We Need To Take Responsibility For Whatever Needs To Be Faced Today
We want to experience life securely today. Whether we are coming our to addictive and destructive lifestyles seeking sobriety and healing or just seeking to navigate the challenges of these changing times in the COVID-19 virus world, how do we achieve that? What’s our part? What’s God’s part? How can we live as responsible members of our families and communities?
Let’s pray today and ask God to heal and restore us so we can experience His good plan for our life today.
Heavenly Father, thank you for loving and caring for us. We come to you with the desire of our heart to take responsibility for change in our lives. Whether we are just coming into sobriety, trying to deal with the challenges of this season of the pandemic, or just trying to deal with one more day with frustrations and uncertainties, we desire change and we know we are powerless to do it on our own.
Loving God, we believe You have the way of life we need and You are more than willing to show u that way and to give us the power to take responsibility and live in Your new way. We surrender our thinking, our behaving – our will and our lives into your care. Please fill us with the power of Your Holy Spirit so we have what we need to make any necessary changes.
Help us God to take time to learn what needs changing, to take inventory of what’s actually going on in me, and then to have the strength to act on what we learn. Help us to admit what’s wrong and act on what’s right. Lord, will you help us to be resolute in our commitment to seek Your will in every situation and relationship. Whether it’s sorting out things gone wrong in the past or dealing with what is going on right now, we want to live with kindness and respect for everyone.
We know we don’t have enough resources on our own so we open our hearts to receive all the blessings You are offering us today, God, and we commit to then bless others with what you provide for us. We’ll do so without expectation but simply with a heart of love and gratitude.
Jesus, live in us and take control of the agenda of this day. We know that life only works and we can only live responsibly when we do so as Your followers – actually going the way You show. Help us to be grounded in Your love more and more and to know how long and wide and high and deep that love is for us and You fill us with the fullness of God. We believe that the safety of Your powerful love is what our hearts long for every day.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
It’s way too easy to panic when we feel like we are facing things on our own, to feel hopeless or to spin out into complaining or anger or even destructive behaviour.
We bless our hearts to be encouraged, our minds to be filled with hope, and our hearts to be strengthened with the loving care of God so we can choose and behave responsibly no matter what we face today.
