Prayer To Learn From The Experience Strength and Hope of An Old-Timer

Thursday May 7, 2020

In recovery circles we’re encouraged to both receive and share our experience, strength, and hope.  I pray you will be encouraged as Mom shares her’s with you and that it will encourage you to grow in love for and trust in the Lord Jesus.

Since Mom's birthday was upcoming – and of course, it is today – Happy Birthday Mom - for the past couple of days I’ve been asking her some questions about her life.  The stories just flow out of her and in the middle of every story is the story of God because God has been the central figure in Mom’s life since she was 7 years old.

What I’ve done is make a shorter clip of about 10 minutes of our conversation for our daily blog prayer focus.  Then, under that video on the blog you will find the entire conversation.

Short Clip:

Grab a cup of coffee.  The full version is about 50 minutes long but believe me, it’s worth listening to.

I’ll also give you some time markers so you can listen to the stories you’d like to and skip the rest.

The full video:

We hear, in her own words, how she got through hard times, the challenge of finding and offering forgiveness, stories of miracles of provision , her favorite book of the Bible (do you know what it is?  It might surprise you to find out what it is)  She shares about the impact leaving her family home and transitioning to an assisted living facility and then even further, what it was like to become blind.
