A Prayer For Help To Be Flexible And Resourceful To Get Beyond The Effects Of The Pandemic
In every sector of society, as we look towards the end of this season of the pandemic lockdown, businesses of every size are considering what they will need to do when things reopen and things begin to get back to normal.
Going forward they are going to need to find creative ways to offer their goods and services. Change has come during these long months of being at home and some of it will go away when we can safely be in places with other people. Other practices will probably continue. Business owners will need to be resourceful in how they attract business and grow their business in the post-pandemic world.
There’s no doubt that many people who were furloughed or laid off from their jobs will actually find that as the economy reopens, they have no employment to return to. How many will need to take stock of what experience and skill sets they have and be resourceful in how they market themselves to potential employers in order to provide for themselves and their families.
We need to tap into the wisdom and grace of God for ourselves, and on behalf of the many who find themselves vulnerable as we move forward with COVID-19 still around but more and more protection in the community through vaccination. God promises wisdom when we ask. Let’s do so.
Thank you God that we don’t face today and the days upcoming on our own. You are with us. You have promised that you will never leave us nor forsake us and that You will generously give wisdom to all who ask You for it. So, here we are, standing in need in these challenging times.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
We first of all want to acknowledge that You have blessed us. We’ve come this far through these many long months of stress and restriction. We’ve gotten a bit of perspective on what we really do and don’t need and what does and doesn’t matter. Thank you for removing some of this clutter and sharpening our focus. Would you help us to not get grumpy and complain if we don’t have what others have and can’t move forward at quite the same speed they are. Give us hearts that are content with what You provide.
We’re also asking, of course, that You will help us know how to be faithful and resourceful with what opportunities, talents, and skills that we do have. Help us to work hard, to persevere even though we don’t see the whole program mapped out ahead of us, and give our best to every task.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
You are our loving Heavenly Father and You promise to give good gifts to us when we ask You. Your Holy Spirit living in us is guiding us and showing us all that we need for all that we face today and going forward.
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit
to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13
You have and will continue to bless us with every spiritual blessing in Jesus and that can only translate into the optimism and energy that makes whatever task is before us do-able and provides us with the courage we need to face today’s challenges no matter how formidable they seem.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:3
These times are not for the faint of heart but thankfully, we are not the faint of heart. We pray to joyfully get out and resourcefully put our abilities into service of You, God and others. We pray that at the end of this day that our lives will be a reflection of what You taught, Lord Jesus, when you told us to let our light shine before others so that they may see our good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven.
Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
