We are in a full on fourth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Case numbers have been doubling every 8 days and it’s heartbreaking to watch the news of so many testing positive. At certain moments we ask ourselves, will this pandemic ever end?
Today I’m grateful that we know the God of the beginning and the end who is also holding everything in between. That gives me great comfort today and I trust it will You as well. Let’s pray:
I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8
We’re so grateful God, that You are the Alpha and the Omega, the who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. That truth puts everything else in our lives into perspective and fills our hearts with a settledness that nothing around us is doing these days.
In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end. Psalm 102:25-27
And while we are unsettled by the ever changing condition of the pandemic here in our area and around the world and what seems to be a very long season of uncertainty and trouble we want to remember today what Your Word reminds us so clearly:
For this God is our God forever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.
Psalm 48:14
And so once again today we give You thanks that You are with us every day, that You are watching over us with great attention to every detail of our lives, and You are journeying with us, making all the power of heaven available to us to face whatever challenges come our way.
We want to offer ourselves, our past, our present, and our unknown future to You once again today. All that we are, all that we long to be, all that we wonder about, we hand it over to You. We surrender our lives into Your good care and keeping.
Make of our lives exactly what You had in mind when You created us. Bring about Your plan and purposes for every day of our life. We believe we’ll not live one day too short nor one day too long when we live inside Your plan and care.
Give us faith and trust, comfort and hope in what is steady and unchanging even though we live in difficult and uncertain times. Give us Your love and Your grace today. That is all we really need. Amen
