Praying To Live In Blessing Today

 I can’t remember the time when I’ve prayed a simple prayer of blessing over someone or just simply texted a blessing to someone and it not have touched their heart.  There is something deep inside each of us that needs to be blessed and is healed and uplifted by a blessing.

We can experience the blessing of God today and be uplifted and comforted and filled with joy.  Listen to these words

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.  Psalm 1:1-2

Well Lord, help us to do our part to keep away from things that are wicked.  We don’t want to see, hear, or participate in conversations that are gossip or hateful  or condemning.  There’s too much of that in our world today with people on different sides of so many issues.  Help us to focus today on being kind and uplifting and filling our thoughts and words with Your truths that seek to bless and remind others of Your good way of life for them today.

God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.  2 Corinthians 9:8, 11

Lord, we are grateful for Your many blessings that provide so much for us so that in all things, at all times, all that we need we can abound in every good work.  We receive this blessing into our lives today so we are enriched in every way and so that we can be generous on every occasion, and through our generosity many will give thanks to You.  May that be not just because we gave things or money but that we gave kindness and attentiveness, maybe some patience or even forgiveness, words of encouragement, time and helpful support – whatever is needed as we observe others and follow Your Spirit’s leading to be one who blesses.

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Hebrews 13:20-21

Lord Jesus, we’re so grateful that You did everything necessary so we could be filled with forgiveness and new life today.  We receive Your blessing today so we are equipped to do everything good that is Your will for us and do all those things in a way that pleases You and gives us great satisfaction. 

And now friends, as we make our way through this day I want to speak God’s words of blessing so You are protected no matter what troubles You face and experience God’s saving help.
