 Coming To God With Faith

A friend of mine often reminds us of this promise from God and it’s so true.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Those who come to God must believe that he exists. And they must believe that

he rewards those who look to him.  Hebrews 11:6

We have to come God, trusting that He is there and there for us.  Even if it takes an hour, a day, a week, or even a bit longer for certain things to get worked out, we can have the peace and security of knowing that with God’s help we will see His goodness expressed in our hearts and circumstances. 

Loving God, No matter what we face today, You will be with us.  You love us without condition. Your love never fails.  We have nothing to prove to you today, nothing to accomplish in order to earn your love.  You care about us and You want to be good to us today. 

We invite you to do that.  We put our hope in you today.  We will wait patiently for you, listening for your voice so we are saved from those things that would harm us. We choose to let you be kind and gracious to us today. We choose to  believe that you look on us today with favour.  You made us and you like us.  We choose now and throughout each day to receive the acceptance and unconditional love you offer us.

The LORD your God is with you; his power gives you victory. The LORD will take delight in you, and in his love he will give you new life.  He will sing and be joyful over you.  God says:  I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.   Zephaniah 3:17, Jeremiah 29:11

I pray blessing on each person watching this video today as well that they will hold onto what You say and make it their own.  I pray that they will open their hearts to receive Your comfort and healing, Your words of acceptance and affirmation, Your joy and delight in them today.  If they haven’t yet received Your forgiveness I pray they will do that and not waste what Jesus has done for them on the cross. 

If they are carrying inner pain I pray they will hand it over to you and let you carry them and fill the pain with your comfort and peace.  Where the pain is covered up with anger I pray that you will give them grace to face the pain, let go of blaming someone else for what is going on inside them today, and let you wash it all out of them and make them clean and whole today. 

And so today, even though our faith may be small, we come to You God, trusting that You really do exist and that You really are willing to be on our side.  Increase our faith so we more and more turn all that we are over to You, with complete abandon because we are so confident in Your love for us.  Amen
