PRAYING TO BE FLEXIBLE AND RESOURCEFUL
All through the pandemic we heard the phrase “the new normal” and we slowly seem to be moving into that as we learn to “live with Covid.”
We have lingering impacts on things like supply chains and worker shortages, burnout in medical staffs, finding the right balance of working in office and working from home, issues with affordable housing and so on. Change has come.
We need to tap into the wisdom and grace of God for ourselves, and on behalf of the many who find themselves vulnerable and questioning as we move forward. God promises wisdom when we ask.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
James 1:5
Let’s ask for that wisdom today.
Thank you God that we don’t face today and the days upcoming on our own. You are with us. You have promised that you will never leave us nor forsake us and that You will generously give wisdom to all who ask You for it. So, here we are, standing in need in these challenging times.
Lord, we first of all want to acknowledge that You have blessed us. Give us hearts that are content with all that You provide.
We’re also asking, of course, that You will help us know how to be faithful and resourceful with what opportunities, talents, and skills that we do have. Help us to work hard, to persevere even though we don’t see the whole program mapped out ahead of us, and give our best to every task.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
You have and will continue to bless us with every spiritual blessing in Jesus and that can only translate into the optimism and energy that makes whatever task is before us do-able and provides us with the courage we need to face today’s challenges no matter how formidable they seem.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 1:3
These times are not for the faint of heart but thankfully, we are not the faint of heart. We pray to joyfully get out and resourcefully put our abilities into service of You, God and others. I bless each one watching today to live in Your care and under Your guidance so that at end of this day each one can know that their life has been a reflection of what You taught, Lord Jesus, when you told us:
Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
