RELIEF IN KNOWING HELP IS ON THE WAY

In the past we may have experienced countless days of chaos in circumstances that were too much for us.  Feelings of dread, fear, and panic encompassed our being.  Feeling out of control was horrible.  We did not know what to do.  We had no idea where to turn.  Thankfully, as we now live with God, we have someone who is near and available to give us the help and comfort we need when difficult circumstances arise.

Jesus said:  I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.  John 16:33

We all need someone to come alongside and support us.  We need someone who, in the middle of an impossible situation says, “I know what to do.  Let me help you.”  The relief that comes in those knowing moments often results in tears after the tension settles.  What was so horrible is no longer a threat.

Satan, a fierce enemy, desires to keep us in trouble.  God, on the other hand, desires and has the ability today to bring us to a place of sanity and satisfaction.  is to bring us peace and sanity.

God is so committed to us finding this meaningful and fulfilling life that He sent His Only Son into the world to give His life for us.  Jesus died on the cross, defeated Satan and stripped him of all his power.  Now Jesus offers to come alongside us and help us stand firm in His victory over Satan.  We truly have nothing to fear when God is our defender.

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

Colossians 1:19-20

Lord Jesus, we are so glad to know today that You are the Higher Power who can bring us solutions and restore us to peace and sanity.  Today, we’re asking for Your help as we trust You in the middle of our trials and sorrows.    

Thank You for being the one who comes alongside us in situations that seem complex, and even impossible sometimes and letting us know that You know what to do and are willing to help us.  What a relief to know that You are for us, not against us, and that the evil one has no power over us and no place in us because we live in You today.    Amen
