Transformed Living

Monday January 30, 2023

One of the greatest challenges in for many people is making the transition from a negative view of oneself to one that embraces who God says we are.

God tells us that He formed us and marked out our time to be born and the place where we would dwell.  How does embracing this truth transform the way we understand life?  Listen to these beautiful words.

Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.  May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word.  May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.  Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.  May those who fear you turn to me, those who understand your statutes.  May I wholeheartedly follow your decrees, that I may not be put to shame.  Psalm 119:73-74, 76-77, 79-80

When we put our faith in God’s word and obey Him wholeheartedly, our lives will be changed forever.  Both our outlook and our behaviour will be transformed.

Our community of family and friends will benefit from our ability to now love and be of service to others.  We will become persons who have compassion on others because we have received compassion from God.

Loving God, we’re grateful that You are the God of all comfort who fills us with so much of Your care that we are empowered to come alongside others who are struggling.

With the same love from You that brought us comfort, we can comfort others and introduce them to You, the one who loves and cares for them just as You care for us.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Help us today to be faithful witnesses and living examples of this great compassion and care. Amen

That’s a wonderful agenda for this day.  Let’s live it well.  Have a great day.
