Being Flexible and Resourceful
We need to tap into the wisdom and grace of God for ourselves, and on behalf of the many who find themselves vulnerable as we move through these challenging financial times. God promises wisdom when we ask. Let’s do so.
Thank you God that we don’t face today and the days upcoming on our own. You are with us. You have promised that you will never leave us nor forsake us and that You will generously give wisdom to all who ask You for it. So, here we are, standing in need in these challenging times.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
James 1:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5
We first of all want to acknowledge that You have blessed us. In the past couple of years with the pandemic we’ve gotten a bit of perspective on what we really do and don’t need and what does and doesn’t matter.
Thank you for removing some of this clutter and sharpening our focus. Would you help us to not get grumpy and complain if we don’t have what others have and can’t move forward at quite the same speed they are.
Give us hearts that are content with what You provide. Keep us free from the love of money, we pray.
We’re also asking, of course, that You will help us know how to be faithful, flexible, and resourceful with the opportunities, talents, and skills that we do have.
Help us to work hard, to persevere even though we don’t see the whole program mapped out ahead of us, and give our best to every task.
One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
Luke 16:10
These times are not for the faint of heart but thankfully, we are not the faint of heart. Help us to be faithful and to serve You, Lord, in whatever training, employment, job search, volunteer work – whatever the today’s agenda is.
We pray to joyfully get out and resourcefully put our abilities into service of You, God and others. We pray that at the end of this day that our lives will be a reflection of what You taught, Lord Jesus, when you told us to let our light shine before others so that they may see our good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven.
Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
So let’s tap into all God is giving us and use our opportunities and gifts well today.
Have a great day.
