Well, a couple of years ago we were deep into lockdown mode with the pandemic. Vaccines had been approved but no mass vaccination programs had begun other than in long term care facilities.. We were feeling the pressure of powerful destructive forces going against us and changing so much of life as we knew it.
Well, one thing we did know then and still know now is that through every kind of changing time, God is always with us. I love this affirmation that we often say:
God is always with me. I need never face my problems alone. Together with God, any difficulty can be worked out and overcome.
Jesus said: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:20
Later on we are reminded that God has said:
I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Hebrews 13:5
Fear, worry, and frustration can rise up within us around many different issues in various seasons of life. The God who loves us knows exactly where we are in our life journey at every moment.
He promises to comfort us in all our troubles and will make a way where there seems to be no way. God invites us to let go of our fear, ask Him for wisdom and guidance, and trust His personal care for us.
The Lord himself will go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will never leave you. He’ll never desert you. So don’t be afraid. Don’t lose hope.
Deuteronomy 31:8
Lord, You made the universe. You set the sun to come up every morning and to go down each night. You also bend down and protect a pretty flower growing up through a crack in the sidewalk, and care about each bird. If all of these things are in Your control and care, I’m pretty certain You can take care of us as we face our problems.
Our lives and circumstances matter to You. The quality and stability of our life today is about believing that You are always with us and working on our behalf. With this assurance, we trust You to help us do the next right thing and peacefully leave all the rest with You.
Thank you Heavenly Father that we don’t have to face our problems alone. Help us to have faith and trust that, together with You, any difficulty can be faced, worked out, and overcome. Amen
It’s different kinds of uncertainty we face today than we did a couple of years ago but we just need to hold onto that truth that God is with us and will see us through today. Let’s have a great day.
