Weary But Praying
With all kinds of demands and challenging circumstances to face, lots of folks get weary over the long haul and so today it’s good to pray for them and for ourselves who are weary in well doing and still need to carry on.
The Bible encourages us with these words:
My heart fails; my spirit droops, yet God remains! He is the strength of my heart; he is mine forever!
Psalm 73:26
Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin.
Psalm 55:22
Thank you God that when we feel weary and our spirits are drooping, that we can come to You and find You ready to be strength for us.
Why You would want us to pile our troubles on Your shoulders we’ll never know but it’s what You’ve told us to do so here we are. Take our load. Take our burdens and cares of the day. Steady us and work on our behalf we pray.
And while You are working on our issues and challenges You also promise us refreshing.
I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.
Jeremiah 31:25
So we open our hearts to receive that refreshing right now. Fill our hearts with the courage and our minds with the insight we need. Refresh our bodies and help us begin afresh with a renewed sense of Your goodness.
Keep all of us aware all day long, Lord, that our provision and our strength, and our ability to get through comes from You. We are happy to walk with You today. Amen
