Standing The Test of Time

We live in uncertain times and I’m grateful today that in the middle of the many uncertainties and unknowns there is so much that we do know that has stood the test of time and which will carry us through.

The Word of God is tried and true and appropriate for every situation we find ourselves in.  Look at the comfort we can find in that.

As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

Psalm 18:30

Loving Heavenly Father, we’re so grateful for You today and for Your presence in our lives. We give thanks today that we can find security and be at rest because your way is perfect and Your Word is flawless. 

We don’t have to know everything You’ve ever said or educate ourselves with advanced degrees, but just today open our hearts to hear from You and put into practice what You show us. 

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

How can we ever thank you enough for sending Jesus to come into our world and show us Your love, Your heart for us, and Your way forward.  We want to do these days with grace and truth. 

You are the creator or the universe and the one who holds all things together with your word.  Where our information is so limited, You know everything and You know how to show us the way to navigate changing circumstances safely. 

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. 

Hebrews 1:3

Thank you God, once again, for being the Word of life in us.  We go forward today with You, confident that with You and Your Word front and center in our minds and hearts, we will experience productive and joyful days that are useful for your Kingdom.  Amen
