Being With God In The Place Where He Is
So, we end these days of looking at ways Jesus said we would be blessed with these encouraging words. They are words written hundreds of years before Jesus taught us how to be blessed but they are consistent in every way.
What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings. They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.
Psalm 84:5-7
Life is journey and the path before us has many unexpected things, including obstacles that seem impossible to overcome. We do have difficult times, even times of weeping.
God’s ways for us to be blessed no matter what we encounter? Praise God in the place where we are and trust Him to get us through to the place of peace and blessing He has promised.
God is with us in the valley of weeping. The Bible tells us that God looks over the whole earth – and that includes the place where we are today – and He will give strength to those who are wholeheartedly committed to Him.
For the eyes of the Lord run to and for throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
2 Chronicles 16:9a
Loving God, Help us to strengthen our resolve today to follow You every step of the journey, no matter where the path takes us. We trust that You will be with us wherever we are.
We want to stay simple and focused, especially when life gets complicated and difficult, and practice Your principles in all our affairs.
Let us be those people who, even in difficult places, bring the peace of God that flows like a refreshing stream to that place. Help us to consistently witness about the love of Jesus, so Your power can flow, and the situation be filled with more and more people who are praising God for helping them.
When we move on from any place, we pray that because we’ve been there, that place will continue to be blessed by God and the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – will be evident. Amen
Well, what a privilege today to be chosen by God to be someone who brings refreshing wherever we go by how we live with God even in our valley of weeping. Have a blessed day.
