UNFAILING LOVE

Why would someone choose to believe there is a God who is lovingly created our world and is carefully watching over everything and everyone in that creation?

The deeper scientists look at things like DNA and the balances in ecosystems that are impacted by small things like 1 or 2 degrees of temperature or 1 invasive species, the more it is clear that there is a great mind that thought this through and holds it all together.  Here’s who the Bible says that God is and how that all works together:

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Colossians 1:15-17

What a beautiful picture.  When God created humans, His intention was for them to have an abundant life.  God knows how we work individually, how we work together, and He holds all things together in proper balance through Jesus. 

Loving God,

We don’t even have to get outside our own bodies to know that we need someone to control and hold together all the systems that make for life and health and peace. 

And then we look at ecosystems across our world and how they seem threatened today in so many ways.  We look at the stars at night and all the satellites and rockets travelling here and there among all those stars and galaxies and we wonder – both the wonder of awe and the wonder of how, outside of You, this could function in balance.  Thank you, our Creator, for Your good and steady plans. Your care for us and our world is unfailing.  We’re so grateful.  Amen

God is good.  Following in God’s way is not complicated.  We simply choose to believe that God is good, His love for us is unfailing, and regardless of what we may be feeling, You have our best interests at heart. Who wouldn’t do what that person instructs.  Let’s live in that blessing today.
