Coming Home

God longs for a living loving relationship with each of us and has done everything necessary to offer this great gift to us.  He invites us to life now and eternity beyond the grave in the embrace of His love.  It’s the greatest invitation any of us will receive in our lifetimes. 

Jesus has come.  He has been born into our world.  He has shown us the Father’s love and died to pay the penalty for our sin. He has also promised to come back again.

I am going to prepare a place for you. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

John 14:2-3

Loving God, here You are, offering Your loving presence to us today and life with You forever when You return. 

We are grateful that we don’t have to live perfect lives to share life with You and we don’t have to wait for heaven to actually enjoy company with You and all the blessings You pour into our lives.

Lord, we welcome You.  Come and be with us.  Whether it's some quiet moments of reflection with a cup of coffee or a walk with You somewhere, we just want to enjoy being with You for a while today.

Help us to see this day and all that is to come through the lens of Your grace and truth.

The Word became a man and lived among us. We saw his divine greatness—the greatness that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

Come and live with us today, Lord Jesus.  Open our eyes so we see Your greatness and humility to recognize and receive Your grace and truth.  Amen

Jesus said: Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

John 14:23

Let’s make our heart a welcoming place for Jesus today even as we anticipate our home with Jesus in heaven some day.
