DAILY LIFE HABITS
Every now and then it’s good to reflect on our ordinary daily life habits. How are we doing with the things we believe are important?
For example: Are we still finding quiet time with God to read His Word, listen to His heart, and to speak to Him in prayer?
Listen to this prayer from one meditation I read that gives us such a great reason for doing so:
God of every blessing, in this new season, I invite You to shape my soul with Your words and inspire my life through Your works. Teach me to walk in the way of blessing. Amen
In Psalm 69 we are reminded:
The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged. For the Lord hears the cries of the needy; he does not despise his imprisoned people. Psalm 69:32-33
Holy Spirit, help us today – and many times throughout this day – to take the time to pause and see You and work, to rejoice in who You are, what You are doing and how we can be a part of that.
This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
We are not part of something random and out of control that is happening to us and in the wider world, but God You, have made us, made this day, and done so in such a way that we could be glad in it.
In humility we want to let go of all the thoughts that send us to a place where we are not living in simple trust in Your goodness, and then responding with expressions of our gratitude and blessing. Amen
So, why not take even 60 seconds right now, yes, right now, consider what God is doing in You and in Your day and be encouraged because, remember:
The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged. For the Lord hears the cries of the needy; he does not despise his imprisoned people. Psalm 69:32-33
