Step 1 - Powerless

“I know nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. Romans 7:18”

For all of us there comes a time when we can no longer avoid the realization that our lives are a horrible mess.  When we come to this place of brokenness and helplessness, and finally admit that all is not well, we need to make a choice about where life is going from here.  How do we do that?  Admitting we are powerless makes us feel pretty vulnerable.  But Step 1 is actually a place of power as we finally recognize truth and get help to know what will take us forward to healing and successful living.
