Power For Us Who Believe

I pray that you will begin to understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else in this world or in the world to come. (Ephesians 1:19-21 NLT)
The resurrection of Jesus Christ tells us clearly that there is no darkness, no evil, no pain or brokenness that the love of God cannot overcome. Jesus died to pay the price for sin but God’s love showed itself more powerful than sin because the grave could not hold Jesus. All of humankind’s sin – from the beginning of time to the end – was laid on Jesus and not even the weight of all that could keep him down. No matter how deep or frightening our broken lives seem to us, they are no match for the living love of God displayed in Jesus Christ. That loving power is offered to each of us who give our wills and our lives to God’s care in complete surrender.
Do we believe that Jesus can take our most broken and disappointing moments and transform them into great possibilities? Do we believe that Jesus can work miracles today? Are we able to push back doubt and discouragement and give ourselves to God in joy, knowing that And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans 8:28 NLT)
The offer Jesus Christ makes to each of us today is that if we will simply believe and receive, He will fill our lives with power to face and overcome whatever has been or whatever is yet to come into our lives. We live in a broken world and difficult things happen to all of us. Jesus, has overcome all of the troubles and stands ready to be with us and be for us. Today is the first Monday of a new season of resurrection life. Why not embrace this incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him.
