Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. (Ephesians 4:24-27 NLT)
Give and receive mercy unconditionally. No matter what others have done to us, or will do to us, God’s direction for us is to act with forgiveness and kindness in the situation. God unconditionally forgives and is kind towards us, no matter what we have done, because He desires us to be like Him. Are we willing to let go of any harm done to us or by us and receive forgiveness and healing, comfort and care from our Saviour and friend, Jesus?

When we are being tempted, we usually think we know better than God, or the people around us, how to handle the situation. It is at those times that we are called to be humble and to simply keep walking with God “trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next.” (Serenity Prayer)

Are we willing to turn away from those attitudes and actions that keep our hearts “divided”? Are we willing to accept the forgiveness and healing God gives us for EVERY wrong? Are we willing to turn our attention and our efforts to God and follow His commands? Are we willing to RECEIVE the loving care God provides? This is the road to life and health. There is no easier way. If we follow this simple plan we will find our way OUT of the frustrating cycle of recurring sin and INTO the fullness of life Jesus came to give us.
Jesus said, The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:10 NLT)

Are you seeking a rich and satisfying life? God, through His son Jesus, is offering that to you today. Will you trust His ways to help you find what you are seeking?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT)
