Main Street in Vancouver is famous for its antique shops. You can wander up and down Main Street, particularly near 28th Avenue and see all sorts of interesting items in store windows. Some of those things look just what they are – old. But they wouldn’t be in that shop if they didn’t have special value because of their quality and what they can tell us about workmanship in that time period.
From time to time it’s fun to watch the “Antiques Road Show” program on television and try to figure out, before they tell you, if the item being shown is worthless or has a value that causes eyes to go wide and great smiles to break out.

For it is good to keep these sayings in your heart and always ready on your lips. I am teaching you today—yes, you— so you will trust in the Lord. I have written thirty sayings for you, filled with advice and knowledge. In this way, you may know the truth and take an accurate report to those who sent you. (Proverbs 22:18-21 NLT)

God promises us safety when we trust his word. Just like we trust the valuation of an item given by the person in the antique shop, so we can trust words that God says are valuable and trustworthy. Check out these treasures at biblegateway.com (Specifically:
