For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. (Psalm 27:5 NLT)
When we find ourselves in trouble, God reminds us that: 1) He cares; 2) Nothing can separate us from His love; 3) When we call on Him, He is ready to help right here and right now; 4) God will use even our current trouble for good in our lives as we turn to, and rely on Him.

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you ... Who can separate us from Christ’s love? Can trouble or hard times or harm or hunger? Can nakedness or danger or war? No! In all these things we will do even more than win! We owe it all to Christ, who has loved us ... God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble ... And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (1 Peter 5:7, Romans 8:35, 37, Psalm 46:1, Romans 8:28 NLT)
Facing trouble without God, is one of the quickest routes to discouragement and relapse. However, if we determine to have faith in God’s protection, we will not despair. Reacting to trouble is sometimes challenging because, in difficult moments our default position is worry, panic, anger, and complaining. Satan desires to keep us there, just as he did so often in our past.
Thankfully, with the power of God's Spirit within us, we can act and react to trouble in new life-giving ways by following God's instructions in the Bible. We can:
1) Call out to God for help;
2) Give our worries and problems to God;
3) Be patient, prayerful and confident;
4) Keep ourselves free from resentment towards anyone who may have harmed us.

Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. (Psalm 50:15, Romans 12:12, 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 55:22, Luke 6:28 NLT)
How pleasant life is for those who rely on, and seek God in all their ways. Worries and troubles dissipate and life takes on new meaning. We awaken each day knowing that whatever circumstances come our way we do not have to face them alone for God never leaves us or forsakes us. He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and He cares.
