If we are not thinking in accordance with the principles of God’s word, then our own foolish thoughts will have a negative effect on our physical and emotional well-being.
The tongue of the wise makes knowledge appealing, but the mouth of a fool belches out foolishness. (Proverbs 15:2 NLT)

Each day requires wisdom to deal with the circumstances of life. Some situations, if not dealt with appropriately, may result in feelings of fear and confusion. Life does throw curve balls which are outside of our power to control. What action is appropriate when this happens? Perhaps we should become acquainted with the man we wrote about yesterday. His life was overflowing with difficult circumstances and yet when he began to think clearly the following words were his response.
Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. (Jeremiah 3:21-23 NLT)

He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. (Psalm 103:10-12 NLT)

The way we think about God has a profound impact on our emotions. The Bible tells us to bring every thought captive to the Lordship of Christ. Perhaps this can be the day when we can determine to change our thought patterns and get to know what the Bible says about the love of God for each of us.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV)
