The Truth, The Whole Truth, And Nothing But The Truth, So Help Me God (2)
Tuesday April 26, 2016

How we got to where we are today, is the result of our own faulty thinking and flawed solutions. Where we go from here can be beyond all we could ask for or even imagine, if we consistently apply God’s truth to our daily living.
It’s true that moral guidance and counsel need to be given, but the way you say it and to whom you say it are as important as what you say. It’s obvious, isn’t it, that the law code isn’t primarily for people who live responsibly, but for the irresponsible, who defy all authority, riding roughshod over God, life, sex, truth, whatever! They are contemptuous of this great Message I’ve been put in charge of by this great God. (1 Timothy 1:8-11 MSG)

Who do the tapes playing in our heads say that we are? Who does God say we are? What are our felt needs right now? How does God say He’ll meet those needs? Where do we think our lives are headed? What does God say about His plans for us? On which of the answers to the above questions will we base our beliefs and actions today?
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2 NIV)

Jesus said, "You are truly My disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life." (John 8:31-32, John 10:10b NLT)
When we invite Him, God will show us a new way: Lord Jesus, I have gone my own way and done my own thing based on my own understanding of how things were. Show me where my thinking needs changing so I may experience this rich and satisfying life based on truth. With your help, I will walk in your truth today.
