A Life Plan "get With The Plan"

Before the beginning of time, God had a perfect plan that included a relationship with you and me based in love and creativity, trust and obedience. God made us in His image so that we would reflect His qualities on the earth. Even though we made choices that went against God’s plan for our lives, God’s overall master plan still makes it possible for everything to fit together. It’s time for us to “get with the plan.”
God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. (Ephesians 1:9-11 NLT)
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is God’s plan of redemption for us. Jesus came to earth to restore our relationship with God which was broken by our sinfulness. God continues to pour out His love and grace into our lives and, as we open our hearts and receive what God is giving, we will experience the joyful and satisfying life God planned for us. We don’t deserve it. We can’t earn it. God’s plan is to be a loving Father to us and to have us live as cared-for sons and daughters.
For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:9 (NLT)
Life in addiction has taught us that life on our own terms, based on the isolation of our own broken hearts, just doesn’t work. In “How It Works” from the Big Book of AA we are reminded “God could and would if He were sought.” Let’s “get with the plan” and enjoy the wonderful life God has prepared for each of us.
