There is a good reason why so many folks both early in recovery and well on their journey find themselves repeating the Serenity Prayer when they bump into life situations that seem overwhelming. They are putting into practice the truth that the God who made the heavens and the earth is making wisdom available to us every moment of every day in practical solutions for our personal problems. This is both reassuring and stabilizing.
In him (God) lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:3 NLT)

But the Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens. (Jeremiah 10:12 NLT)

God knows us, loves us, and wants us to experience the wonderful life He had in mind for us when he created us. It's good to remember that God's wisdom isn't limited to just our own situations. We may also ask for wisdom for others in our circle of loved ones, for leadership who are dealing with the problems in our community, and actually for everyone and everything that touches our life today.
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. (Colossians 1:9 NLT)
Whatever we face today, let’s learn from those who’ve walked this path before us by offering ourselves and our circumstances to God and receiving His peace and wisdom in return.
