Having admitted the exact nature of our wrongs and accepted complete forgiveness from God brings us to the place where we are free indeed. Because of Jesus, there is no record of wrongs against us. No condemnation! We need not fear the future. Why? Because God is always with us, we need never face our problems alone. Together, with God, any difficulty can be worked out and overcome. Our lives have been transformed and our future is secure. We are building on the solid rock which cannot be shaken!

For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? (Psalm 18:31 NIV)
When we choose to live in truth, we have internal peace. We have accepted God’s forgiveness for all our wrong doing and know that He has promised, "No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you as white as wool." (Isaiah 1:18 NLT)

True confession, done with integrity, always brings a desire and firm commitment to know and walk with God whatever the cost. It is this deep gratitude to God that motivates us to willingly surrender moment by moment to the new way of life God has planned for us.

Only God, who is understanding and wise, knows what is good for us. He has a plan for each of our lives that will give us hope and a future. Today, in whatever circumstances we find ourselves, whether good or full of troubles and injustice, God knows best how to handle the situation.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV)
Today, am I willing to admit the error of trying to run my life, my way? Am I willing to turn away from my own limited understanding? Am I ready to enter into the fullness of life in recovery with God that I’ve always desired? If not, I need to ask myself, why not?
