Jesus' Death And Recovering Addicts (2)
Tuesday April 11, 2017

What does Jesus death have to do with me? Well, maybe nothing and maybe everything - the choice is ours. Jesus has already atoned for the unmanageable problem of our sin and brokenness. Will we accept what He has done for us?

We can ignore the fact that Jesus died for us and perish with our problems or we can choose to accept the gift of a life-changing relationship with the Living God. How do we do that?

We make a choice. We admit to God that our way of living without Him does not work. We admit that we’ve hurt others and ourselves. We confess that we’ve carried unforgiveness in our hearts. We acknowledge that we’ve lived selfish lives caring only about ourselves and ignoring the impact on others. We then repent and ask God to forgive us. We turn our will and our lives over to the care of God. We listen, learn, and obey God’s Word as recorded in the Bible. We commit to getting rid of whatever is harmful to our minds, our emotions, our bodies, and our relationships.
Today, let’s bring ourselves, our will and our lives, to the CARE of God. Let’s embrace all that God has done on our behalf and live purposeful lives in the power of His Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for the provision You have made for me to live life to the full. Your Word says that You are working in me to give me the desire and the power to do what pleases You. Please fill me up so that I choose to follow You in all my ways. Amen
