Hope For What Concerns Me Today

Troubles come, sometimes one on top of another.  Pressure builds.  Sadness deepens.  We ask, “where is God in the middle of our troubles?”  As we move towards the new year it’s important to not forget what we have just celebrated.  Jesus left the light and splendor of heaven and broke into the darkness and chaos of life on this planet to bring hope and peace to those who put their trust in Him.

This is GOD’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as GOD: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’ (Jeremiah 33:2-3 MSG)

Jesus longs to care, comfort, and strengthen us in our times of vulnerability.  If we ask for His guidance, He will show us the right way to handle any problem we may encounter.  He may show us new ways to resolve the issue, ways we have never even thought about or considered.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.  The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.  (Psalm 138:7-8 NKJV)


What is different about us when we have given our will and life over to the care of God is that we know, and believe, that there is hope and a solution to any problem, because God is with us.  In every situation, we do the things we know to be right and good, then wait prayerfully in God's care and protection until the problem is resolved.  We refuse to give in to hopelessness that says nothing works and nothing will ever change.  We keep looking to God and His amazing promise to perfectly fulfill His good purposes in everything that concerns us. 

Prayer:  Gracious God, I choose to stand with You and trust You to perfectly fulfill Your good purpose in everything that concerns me today. Amen
