Living Lonely Or Living In Love
Thursday August 9, 2018

Loneliness is a feeling of isolation. We can be in a room full of people and still feel lonely. God made us for relationship and when relationships are not as God intended we will experience loneliness.

Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish. (Psalm 25:16-17 NIV)
Those around us may not be aware that we are feeling lonely. People see us but have their own agenda. They carry on with what they are doing and have no idea what we are thinking or what we are coping with on the inside.
We feel lonely when we are not involved with others or are disconnected from what is happening around us. Loneliness and loss of hope are also triggered by rejection, separation, tragedy, or a sense of abandonment. Mother Teresa said, “Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty”.

We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. (Hebrews 4:15-16 MSG)
Following are the words of a song that tell us that our Heavenly Father is our maker. He is with us. He cares for us. He will hear us when we call to Him. We are never forgotten.
I have a Maker. He formed my heart.
Before even time began My life was in his hands.
I have a Father; He calls me His own.
He'll never leave me No matter where I go.
He knows my name. He knows my every thought.
He sees each tear that falls,
And He hears me when I call.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Come near to me and assure me of Your unfailing love . Strengthen my heart as I trust in Your promise that I am not alone for You never leave me nor forsake me. Amen
