Often in our recovery journey our expectations of where life should be at this point in time is not what we anticipated. We feel discontented with life and are ready to give up. We claim we have completed the necessary steps according to God’s Word and they are not working for us. At this point we need to stop and give an honest answer to the question, “Were we fully committed to obeying God’s Word and His direction in all our affairs, or half-hearted, doing only what it took to get by or to get someone off our backs?”
Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. (2 Timothy 3:16 MSG)

God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. (Hebrews 4:12 MSG)

God’s paths get you where you want to go. Right-living people walk them easily; wrong-living people are always tripping and stumbling. (Hosea 14:9b MSG)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Forgive me when I think I know better than You how life should be lived. Thank You for Your Word that never changes. Help me to trust You and through prayer and meditation get to know Your unchanging Word and Your faithful ways. Amen
