Hear And Do

 How many of us ended up in an unmanageable lifestyle because we refused to follow the guidance given to us by caregivers, friends, and others? Some of us thought we could party our way to the good life while others thought they could work their way. The truth is the good life includes work and play together with many other principles.  Jesus said that if we hear and do what He says, we will be like a wise man who built his house on the solid foundation of a rock. 

 Many materials go into building a house, but the most important part of any building structure starts with the foundation that will support it. If we take time to hear and do what Jesus says, we will build our life on a solid foundation. If we ignore what Jesus says, like the foolish man who built his house on sand, the storms of life will cause what we have built to collapse.

 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it. (Matthew 7:26-27 ESV)

 My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22 ESV)

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I choose to be attentive to what You have to say and to build my life on the solid foundation of Your Word. Please help me to practice Your principles in all my affairs Amen
