Enduring Love

The very heart of God is enduring love, and nothing will ever change that. This is the love that brought God, as the baby Jesus, to our planet more than 2000 years ago.
God’s love endures forever and when we give our will and life over to God’s care, His extravagant love for us will endure through all eternity. We are encouraged in our relationship with God to have faith, hope, and love but the greatest of these qualities is love.

Why is love so important? Love gives us the strength to endure through every circumstance of life. We have faith in Jesus’ redeeming work on our behalf and believe we have been cleansed from all our sin. His unfailing love for us helps us receive healing and restoration from the hurts we have sustained in the past. To move forward in our life in recovery, we need to be strong and embrace God’s love as He supports us in the many trials that will come our way. When we see how God works in our lives, we will love Him for all that He does and will continue to do for us.

When we witness the work of God in our lives it inspires us with hope. The perfect love of God casts out all fear of the future for we know that, despite any failings we may have, His love is strong enough to carry us through because it endures forever.

There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love. (1 John 4:18 MSG)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am so thankful that Your love endures forever. Help me to leave fear behind so I can be fully transformed by Your love. My desire is to have hope and strength to persevere through whatever may come my way in the future. Amen
