Meditations on "Acceptance"

Why do we celebrate Christmas? Why not just settle for a winter holiday of Santa and snow and parties and gifts?

Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return.

The Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

A humble life is grounded in a realistic view of ourselves.

But you, O Lord, will sit on your throne forever. Your fame will endure to every generation.

Step Two: Came to believe that a power greater that ourselves could restore us to sanity.

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

This week we’ve been looking at prejudice and how it expresses itself in our daily lives.

To live without fear we must intentionally receive the kindness and tenderness that is offered by God.

One of our first priorities in recovery is sorting life according to the truth.

God has given us gifts and talents to share with others.
