Meditations on "Surrender"

Not only does God love and value us but He also has a special plan for each one of us.

When you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

“Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will” Hillsong, one of the world’s leading contributors to praise and worship music, has given us a song that seems to describe this sentence from the Serenity Prayer.

How do we enter into this friendship relationship with God that makes life safe and satisfying and guarantees us life, beyond the grave, in heaven?

Parents protect their children from danger even danger that the child does not know exists.

Most of us are well aware of the damage we did to ourselves, our families, and to others in the community when we disregarded God’s authority and tried to do things our own way.

May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Who can we trust? Who's reliable? Who tells the truth?

Negative feelings are usually attached to a lie. To get beyond negative feelings we actually have to reject the attached lie and choose for the truth while our feelings are still vulnerable.

We spent a long time in addiction trying to have life as we wanted it because we thought that would make us happy and give us what we craved.

God wants us to be successful in recovery and in life so God gives us a clear description of what we are facing and what we need in order to do well.
