Meditations on "Surrender"

Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy.

To be “relapse proof” is to be surrendered to a new life that prioritizes God’s will in all we do and say and think.

Seasons change. The temperature warms up. The grass begins to grow again.

God doesn’t lie. God doesn’t sugar coat the truth.

When we have accepted the finished work of Jesus on the cross as payment for our sins, does this mean we should never reflect on guilty feelings when they arise?

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

The Serenity Prayer is the common name for a prayer authored by the American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr.

Jesus says: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus is risen from the dead. My life and my recovery have hope because He is.

Our experience of love and satisfaction in life is tied directly to being obedient to God’s will and God’s way.

What does Jesus death have to do with me? Well, maybe nothing and maybe everything -- the choice is ours.

What makes us vulnerable to temptation? We come into recovery and we work hard to understand what went wrong.
