Meditations on "Truth"

Do we ever wonder what people said about us on the day that we were born.

Some of us say we have hope in God, but what does that mean?

One of the books in the Bible is called Proverbs. It is also known by many as the book of wisdom.

In many writings in the Bible we read that God’s love endures forever.

Just seeing the words "good reputation" brings a wry smile to those of us who have lived with something quite different in various periods of our life.

We know that God watches over all the earth and sees the wickedness that causes His anger to burn against those who inflict pain and injustice on others.

Life is a journey and from its beginning to its end we are all influenced by the environment we live in.

When Jesus was teaching His friends about prayer He said this: Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.

When Jesus was before Pilate the Roman Governor to whom the Jewish leaders had brought Him, Pilate asked Jesus, ”What is truth?

Why do we look at another’s sin and want them punished for what they have done and then look at our own sin and want compassion and forgiveness?
