Meditations on "Truth"

When Jesus was here on earth, He often went off on His own to pray.

Gates serve several purposes. One purpose is to keep those inside safe and another is to keep out those who seek to harm.

At some point in our lives we became aware that we were powerless over our dependencies and that our lives had become unmanageable.

We got to where we are today by our own irrational thinking and flawed solutions.

While writing to a group of Christians the apostle Paul told them to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

Recovery begins when we come to our senses and affirm that we are powerless over alcohol or some other substance or habit and that our lives have become unmanageable.

We are strengthened to stay free of addiction because God is guiding and supporting us each step of the way.

Growing up many of us remember hearing the cute Christmas song, “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth, see my two front teeth!

As we work our recovery program we find that life changes.

Why is it easier to see where others need to improve rather than see our own need?

Disharmony in our family, addiction, poverty, loneliness or other conflicts may have been part of our story.

This is the season of the year when we prepare our hearts for the annual celebration of Christ’s birth.
