Meditations on "Wisdom"

The seasons are changing. In just a couple of days we will officially move from summer to autumn.

God says to each of us: My child, today you are faced with many decisions and you're unsure about what to do.

Day after day, in recovery meetings and elsewhere, we pray these words: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Two of the many reasons we excuse giving into temptation and rationalizing our behaviour are: 1) We want what sin has to offer us.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves.

Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.

When someone starts to build they usually have a plan in their mind or directions on paper such as blueprints which guide the person to accomplish what they want to achieve.

We all make mistakes and we all have recorded these events and played the recordings over and over in our heads.

From the beginning of time God had a plan and, at just the right time, all events occurred according to that plan.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

KNOWING WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
