Hope For Today

Jesus knows the way to please our Heavenly Father and He knows the way humans displease Him. Jesus, every day, is watching over us and praying for us.  What a privilege it is for us to have someone who knows both sides of the life God has called us to praying for us.

Loneliness – pretty much a universal experience at some point in our lives, I think, don’t you? Mother Teresa said, “Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty." So what do we do when we are feeling disconnected and lonely?

I’m so glad that we can come to God, not necessarily having all the thoughts and words sorted out that we need to say, but trusting God to know us and want to bless us, just because we come. God wants us to let go of yesterday, leave tomorrow with Him, and just work together on today.

Remember the old term "being wishy washy?" We are great at doing things for a short while bug challenges come and how easily we get diverted or stumble. How do we find the help we need to be more consistent?

DON’T GIVE UP – PERSERVERE When troubles arise in our lives, we often feel helpless to cope with them.

When we get rid of something bad in our lives, we need to fill the vacancy with something good.

JUST FOR TODAY – Relax and Enjoy Just for today I will take a quiet half hour all by myself to relax, think about, and enjoy all that God has done and continues to do for me.

We speak about various aspects of living truthfully often and I guess I make that choice to keep the subject before us because there are so many ways that both around us and inside us we are drawn to hide the truth, deny the truth, or rationalize something other than the truth.

We live in a world of people who seem more sensitive than some generations in the past and who struggle to deal with hurtful things that happen in life When a person is hurting it is hard to open their heart to receive love – including love that God is offering until they find healing.
